Tuesday Trivia with Matt - Episode 227
So last week’s blog happened much earlier than normal… and this week… well… I waiting until the last possible day. But I think we can all agree… It’s been A HELLUVA WEEK.
Honestly, I haven’t felt like doing much other than the private events I had previously scheduled, and those were even a lot to push through and make happen. To everyone else that is feeling a cloud of heavy darkness filled with some combination of sadness, rage, disbelief, and all the other tough emotions…. I send you a hug.

With all of that said, I am going to keep this week’s blog concise (I still have episode 228 to create for tonight! EEK!)
There were a few minor scoring adjustments made from Alex’s live scoring. One of note is the answer “anything for a friend” in the friendship bracelet round. I did receive three different emails justifying why that should have been accepted as an answer, so I decided to give one point (out of the possible two) to the teams who provided that as an answer. There is a book that was recently published with that name, and so I decided partial credit was fair.
Here are the podium teams for Episode 227:
🥇 Just Neighbors only missed one point the entire evening for a score of 119! WOW!
🥈 A tie for the silver between Jeremy Bearimy and Trivia Spice, both with 113!
🏅 And another tie for fourth between Central Adams and Crafty Tiger Bitches, both with 108!
We also have reached an exciting part of the season where we start dropping low scores for teams who have played more than seven episodes! You can see that below in the overall leaderboard, where I have grayed-out the lowest score for the applicable teams. Now, you truly are competing against yourself and just trying to beat your lowest score. Will anyone surpass Jeremy Bearimy’s current lead of 790? Only the next three episodes will tell!
OH… and that was a big announcement made during this episode. My math wasn’t mathing… and I miscounted the number of weeks/episodes before the finale. I originally had ten episodes, but turns out that there are actually eleven weeks! Good news because that means all teams have an additional chance to drop a low score! Our finale episode will be the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, Tuesday, November 26.
“The Alex Award” winner this week came in our round about blue movie characters. The hardest of these characters was Diva from The Fifth Element, which only one team had both the character name and movie name correct (well done, Central Adams!). Other teams made some funny guesses, but Alex’s favorite was “Squidella”. Congrats to this week’s “Alex Award” winner, team Elevated!
