Tuesday Trivia with Matt - Episode 226

Listen y’all. Miracles can happen
like a blog being written within 48 hours of an episode! Ha! I have some exciting things coming up this week so I knew I had to check this off my to-do list right away. And what a fun episode it was!

Episode 226 was TRICK OR TREAT TRIVIA, and we had 18 teams (with 62 people) tune in to play this week; the highest turnout of the season so far! Thank you to everyone for playing!

We started off the game with a sweet round about Dum Dum flavors. There are SEVENTEEN different flavors in the original mix! Who knew? Well many of you, as there were some high scores in round one
in fact no teams got less than 7 correct. SWEET!

Round two included some vampire-related songs, and in round three we paid tribute to my dad (happy birthday!) with a round of costumes of famous dads. We rounded out the game with a villain rebus round, a boney common bond round, and a bunch of pets in movie/TV inspired costumes.

Thanks to everyone who showed up in some festive Halloween apparel or accessories! The prize for best costume was a tie between the adorable Dairy Queen Blizzard on team Central Adams and Joe B dressed as Bob Ross! Both were a delight, as were everyone’s touches of Halloween flair!

After reviewing Alex’s live scoring from last night, a few adjustments were made and the official scores can be found below. Here were the podium teams for the night:

đŸ„‡ Crafty Tiger Bitches logged a second win in a row. BRAVO!
đŸ„ˆ A review of the points awarded one additional point to High School Musical: The Musical, The Series, The Team Name which earned them second place with 109.
đŸ„‰ Just Neighbors earned third with 108 points. Woo hoo!
🏅 and Central Adams were just one point behind in fourth place with 107! Such a close scoreboard this week!

“The Alex Award” winner this week came in our music round with song titles related to vampires. When I selected the 90’s house hit “Twilight Zone” by 2 Unlimited, it didn’t dawn on me that the song also sounds very similar to the Mortal Kombat theme song, which many of you put down as your answer. (I did check to ensure that they weren’t the same song! Similar, but not the same.) But the answer that made Alex pick it as his favorite was a team that decided to make “Mortal Kombat” even tied into vampires by calling it “Mortal WOMBAT”. BRAVO. MARVELOUS. NO NOTES. For the punny creativity, this week’s “Alex Award” winner is 4 Peas N a Pa!

Happy Halloween to you all
and thank you celebrating this special fifth iteration of Trick or Treat Trivia with me! See you next week on MONDAY for Episode 227, now a whole day earlier! Join us at bit.ly/ttwmzoom24!

OOOH! And now that we have played seven episodes, starting next week, those teams who have played MORE than seven episodes will have their lowest scored dropped. It’s starting to get really exciting as we have just three episodes left in the season. Thanks everyone!

💜Matt
