Tuesday Trivia with Matt - Episode 223
We are four episodes in to the 2024 Fall Trivia League and things are heating up! We had a dozen teams join us for episode 223, which included some Wheel of Fortune fun, some alliterative music artists, and… wait for it… a whole round of sports! I know. I still can’t believe it myself. ⚽🤣
And just like a good sports competition, let’s jump right in to recognizing our winners and podium placers!
There were no big scoring corrections made from Alex’s live scoring, so the scores and placements read are official, as seen in the scoreboard and season leaderboard below.
🥇 Threat Level Midday scored their second win in a row, which moved them up to third in the overall standings! Sounds pretty golden to me!
🥈 Shining bright with silver were the members of team Jeremy Bearimy who are still atop the overall leaderboard. Bravo!
🥉And biting their bronze medals are the members of Central Adams. All three teams were just one question away from each other!
There were a few small point adjustments from the live scores announced at the end of the show, resulting in a few teams getting one or two more points (yay for more points and not less!). None of those changes shook up the weekly ranking that was announced live.
This week’s winner of “The Alex Award” came in the music round. In memory of Kris Kristofferson, we did a round of other male artists with alliterative names. One of the songs was by Bad Bunny, which 11 out of 12 teams got correct. But the challenging part of this clip was the the song title, “Titi Me Pregunto”… which three teams did get correct. Bien hecho! (That’s “well done” in spanish 🤣). There were a few spanish song title guesses including “Mi Amor”, “Mi Corozon”, and “Malamente”… but Alex’s favorite answer came in English. It was the hot new chart-topping track “Reasonable Rabbit” by Bad Bunny. Hahaha! For that funny song title, Three Halves of a Whole Idiot are this week’s winner of “The Alex Award.
