Tuesday Trivia with Matt - Episode 134

This week I had a double dose of excitement and anticipation when updating the season leaderboard with these HIGH scores from Double Down Week! Episode 134 was your last opportunity of the Fall Season to use the double down and you used it quite wisely! Well done!

I want to start off by saying that you’ll see some slight adjustments in this week’s scoreboard as compared to the live results I announced at the end of the show. Alex and I conferred on several of the answers that were given during the Before and After round, and adjusted accordingly. One adjustment was regarding the “Blind Date Night” question, which after re-thinking the image I created for that round, it wasn’t a true Before-and-After style clue, so we opted to just give everyone two points for that regardless of your answer. Yay! More points for everyone!

There were also a few instances in the music round where people had the song title and the artist flip-flopped in their respective answer fields. Alex typically notices this when scoring live, but to be certain that you get all the points you deserve for the reveal of scores at the end of the show, please be careful when inputting your answers.

Our weekly winning team was Threat Level Midday with their first weekly win of the Fall Season! Congratulations! They had an amazing score of 116 out of 120… missing just two answers all night and using their Double Down to double a perfect round. 🏆 After adjusting the scores, the Brochuters + 1 and This Is How We Know We’re Petty! Petti! Pette! shared second place on the podium, trailing by two points off the leaders with 114 points. 🥈 Amazing job!

When updating the Fall Season Leaderboard with everyone’s HIGH scores this week, we have our first team that has broken 700 season points! Congrats to the Brochuters + 1 who are still atop the Season Leaderboard! Just four points behind are the Crazy Tiger Bitches with 697. It is certainly going to be a race to the finish to see who will win the $100 donation to a charity or organization of their choice!

As a reminder, our top four teams will all win a donation to a charity or organization that they care about:

🥉3rd place: $50
🎖️4th place: $25
(and one more $25 donation will be made to a team chosen by random wheel spin)

I wanted to remind you all of this now, because I’d like EVERYONE to be thinking about what charity or organization they would like to donate their money to. During the Fall Season Finale on 11/22, you will be asked to provide your charity/organization during registration so that we can let everyone know the great places that our game is supporting!

(and I emphasize EVERYONE because your team could win the random wheel spin! So even if you don’t feel your team is on target to get one of the top four spots, your charity or organization could win just because you showed up and chose to participate. 💜)

This week, winners of “The Alex Award” saved the best for last…because they literally won it with the last question of the last round. For that question, I asked you to tell me the real name of the famous feline from the Keyboard Cat video of 2007:

The correct answer is “Fatso” (which I have my own fatphobic comments about that, but we will save that for a later soapbox…). This proved to be one of the most difficult questions of the night with only three teams knowing the correct answer. Guesses ranged from Garfield to Liberace… and even Meowtzart, which was quite creative! But Alex’s favorite guess was “Catsio” which is just a perfect reference to both keyboards and cats. 🤣 Bravo to Hot Ass Soup for winning this week’s Alex Award! 🎹😹
